Ours are handcrafted from toughened glass, and they undergo a process of heat treatment, enhancing their strength and resilience. Toughened glass is highly durable and resistant to heat, scratches, and impacts, ensuring longevity in demanding environments. It's also non-porous, making it easy to clean and maintain. While not indestructible, proper installation and care significantly contribute to their durability. When well-maintained, glass splashbacks are a reliable and long-lasting option, providing functionality and aesthetic appeal to any space.

Can you produce a curved glass splashback?

Yes! We appreciate that cooker hoods and extractor fans come in all shapes and sizes, and sometimes a curved glass panel is required to achieve the most seamless look possible. This is why we can offer curved glass splashbacks on request. We will often need a physical template made of wood or acrylic or a DXF file to be provided for us, so please get in touch with our Customer Service Team if you would be interested in exploring this product.

Do you offer any alternatives to glass splashbacks?

For locations not near a heat source, such as behind a kitchen sink, in a bathroom, or a utility room, we can also offer acrylic splashbacks in all of the same colours and designs as the glass. Although not heat resistant, acrylic has several advantages compared to glass, such as being much more lightweight, making it easier to install. Unlike glass, acrylic panels can be cut on-site, meaning you can trim panels if required and add socket cut-outs.

Can you install a Glass splashback onto an existing splashback or tiles?

Certainly! Our splashbacks are designed for versatile installations, securely attaching to tiles or an existing splashback when paired with our specialised rapid grab adhesive. The adhesive choice is crucial, and we strongly endorse our specifically formulated product. This recommendation is rooted in extensive quality control tests, ensuring a reliable and enduring bond. The Rapid Grab adhesive's formulation is tailored to meet the unique demands of splashback attachment, providing adequate adhesion and instilling customer confidence. Yes! If you are interested in fitting multiple panels in the same space that are to be next to one another, we can offer an exceptional service named “Artist Attention”. This means we can create bespoke, truly 1-off artwork for your order tailored to your specific dimensions. This service will be an option at checkout if you have more than one item in the same design in your basket. If selected, we will work with you to create beautiful, flowing artwork, and you will be provided proof to ensure that you are happy with this before our Production Team proceeds with printing, meaning you get EXACTLY what you want.

What is the tolerance level for installing a glass splashback?

Tolerance levels for glass splashbacks typically involve precision within 1-2mm for accurate fitting. During measurements, ensure precise dimensions and consider wall irregularities or outlets. A professional installer would account for variations in wall surfaces, ensuring a snug fit. However, most people can comfortably measure a simple-shaped splashback. We recommend measuring twice, being exact, then “knocking off” 1mm from the top & bottom, then 1mm from each side. This means a minus 2mm on overall accounting for any manufacturing tolerances. Any minor gaps can be hidden and accommodated with our Glue Rapid Grab, also used as a sealant.
